so in Japan time, 2009 is coming to the end in 2 hours.
I caught a cold and i have work tomorrow on new year's day (which is really SUCK!) i can not go out today =(

This crazy trend starts off from McDonalds.

McDonald's first started serving MEGA MAC about 2 years ago.It is basically doubled Big Mac. It even got "Soulja Boy" hyped.

starts off MEGA MAC, McDonald's had MEGA Filet-O and MEGA Teriyaki for limited short term.

Right now, in McDonald's in Japan, we have MEGA Sausage...smh!

AND NOW, japanese common bowl aka beaf bowl has MEGA BOWL! served by Sukiya.

Three times rice and six times beef.!! Can u manage to eat everything?

As long as you buy those mega food, you should eat everything because if you dont eat it will be just a waste... There are many hunger people in this world and I don't see any points in McDonald's brought this new trend just to get more profit... but i think this is how this world is right now, and Japan has been americanized even more by McDonald's.

I don't like too futuristc or many CG action movie but this is something you might want to check.

The story is about a power game in the era more than 500 years ago in Japan.
scheme, war, destiny and love...

Kiriya has done many music videos or CD cover as a director. He debut as a movie director in 2004 for Casshern. He has created his own world.
He had started to plot out this movie GOEMON 5 years ago so it means when he debut as a director in 2004, he already has this in his mind..
The filming took 3 years and editing took 1 year to finish. The whole scene was shooted in a studio of green screan.
The cast is gorgeous. The actress "Ryoko Hirosue" act a roll in grammy winning japanese movie Depauturs as well.

In addition, the director Kiriya is former husband of Utada Hikaru. He directed her music video "Traveling". His talent in CG graphics is said amazing.

The first dude I seen on the scene hard was my nigga Quan Luv. I was like wow this kid got style.
I went to Fashion School and started to realize how different other places are from here. I Was Considered as homosexual All types of names, but at the end of the day now everybody is jumping on the band wagon."

It sounded so familiar to me when I first heard his name because of "Nozuka".
Nozuka is one of Japanese family name. Mine is Fukada by the way.
As i got to know him I found out that he is a Japanese/ Canadian, American singer song writer.
yea so i was right. his look reminds me of something oriental as well. His brother is also a singer George Nozuka.

I saw an music director/producer at KIKS TYO 3rd Anniv party told me he went to SXSW and
saw theo's show.

I am sorry for all my followers and subscribers for not updating my blog for what? like 4 days!?
It has been only 4 days.... i feel like i was gone for like a week!!!

The topic I want to talk/introduce to you today is about Comedians/Comedy scene in Japan.

There are so many comedy TV programs in japan. I counted them all and I found out that there are 38 comedy programs in a week!!!!!!!

Comedy is called "Owarai" in japanese.
the history of Owarai is really long and deep. too deep and too long to write it all here...

there are some styles of Owarai..

for example,

*Monomane　- impression

*Manzai - is a style of stand-up comedy in Japan, which usually involves two performers—a straight man (tsukkomi) and a funny man (boke)—trading jokes at great speed. Most of the jokes revolve around mutual misunderstandings, double-talk, puns and other verbal gags. (ref. wikipedia)

talking about Manzai,

we have a ompetition called M-1. its to decide which duo is the best of the year.
once on duo win the competition their salary raise and get offer for a lot of tv programs.
so it's the gateway to owarai success.

Lately, A japanese comedian was closed up on Chicago Tribune website.

esp., the brands which CELEBRITIES have or wear. sigh... lowbrow?

KITSON has been spotted by a lot of japanese magazines and FINALLY
they opend the first branch on 8th of March, in Shinjuku, Japan.

the biggest reason It has been what japanese girls are interested in is...
these gossip queens such as "Paris Hilton" , "Nicole Richie".

Their fashion sense and style has been spotted on many of japanese magazine and the style is how japanese girls wanna wear like. I am not in to this hype shit.
I wear what i like and I dare to be different from others.. but most japanese fashion scene is like this... the the new trend or style comes in the scene EVERYBODY wear same shits.... and i dont like it.

According to the website, on the opening day about 5000 people has been to the stroe to cop some from KITSON the first branch in japan.

I guess KITSON has found a good and easy market lol...

Are American Fashion Brands Taking over the Market in Japan?!?!?

Last year, H&M opend two stores in Japan. Harajuku and Ginza ; as you know Harajuku is where always crowded fashionable japanese girls, and Ginza is where many "EXPENSIVE"
brand stores are located and where madam go shopping.

and now, even forever21 is underconstruction right next to H&M Harajuku!!!!

Both brands are cheap and has simple designs.
Sicne H&M opend in Harajuku, the store is always packed with girls on weekends.

I like both brands and i often go shoppin to H&M.
However, to be honest the material isn't that good compared to UNIQLO!!!
when UNIQLO opend the first store it was shocking because THEY SELL jeans for 30 dollars.
It was a shocking news and uniqlo has beeen known as "cheap and useful"
but now they are trying to change their brand image and promote the new style by using and selling deisgned tee-shirts.
It is interesting which gonna survive in the crowded fashion market in japan.
I heard some news that Nikkie Hilton tryna take over the market tooo!
but the price is pretty higher than thoes 3 brands sooo let's see how it is gonna be!

The biggest japanese young fashion festival was held in Yoyogi (near shibuya and harajuku) on 3, 7, 2009.

my home girl Juliana walked the runway as one of the model :)

The fashion show is nothing like NY fashion week. the models cant walk like real runway model but still it's what every girls in japan are excited and willing to be on the stage oneday.
The most biggest reason is the models are really KAWAII(means cute or pretty)
and the clothes are not high fashion not so expensive.It's afordable for young girls.
as i wrote earlier the models dont know how to "walk". If anyone from Paris or Ny collection see this fashion show they would say it is aweful. but the target for the fashion show is us, regular girls not celebrities. It is really enjoyable for any girls who like to dress up!
Even the girls who go see the show dress up as if they are going to walk the run way!

3, 13, 2009 DRAGON BALL EVOLUTION WORLD PREMIER

The world famous japanese comic finally was made into a film.
I am already a lil dissapointed because the real goku looks soooo weak...

I am sure whoever read this blog knows about DBZ!!
I think it is the only long lastnig and most loved japanese comic.
What really sad is in main character don't even look like real goku...
at least they shoulda cast asian as goku...
According to some reputation the movie is totally different from the original comic so we shouldn't watch the movie expecting it as same as the comic....

the actor Shun Oguri is the most popular actor in Japan nowdays.
I like his passion for turning into a character in dramas or movies.

This movie is a fighting movie of high school students.
the part 1's last scene was really exciting and made me think that where that kind of "REAL" fight these days... no weapons no bat, no knifes just hands and the power of punchs and kicks.
This is what we consider as MAN in japan.

so i found this pic from ROCKSMITH spring/summer 2009 new collection. Big up to my homey Willie!! aka hungryman aka sleepyman. lol

He is one of the member of the Amount Boyz.

I met (willie, eric and flash) last week in Japan. They were hiralious. I got to be on stage withe Eric & Flash. They performed as guest at a dance event in Tokyo .

The audience was really hyped and yelling as they danced on the stage.

I really appericiate to be a part of the 2 man show ("Flash & Eric") even if I just walked on the stage and just wiped them and thrown the towles to the audience. lol

They are the best dancers from NY I've met so far and they will always be the best dancers in my list!

in Japan, Eric was killing it all the time, Flash has his own style and is really a good teacher, Willie is a mood-maker and a dancer that makes everybody laugh all the time. I am really glad and lucky to get to see them. I am so impatient to see them again in NY!

Lately, Japanese movie scene is tight.
Japanese movie "Okuribito" won the latest oscar. I haven't seen the movie yet but
the story is really familiar to me because in January my grand father has passed away and saw the man who do the same thing in the movie.

but here are some NEW MOVIE. some of yall may know it already cuz the part 1 has already screened. but ther part 2.
It is a big movement in japan now.

It is really exciting story and mystery. I am really curious. I know the story line but not gonna tell. but its like something you write on notes when you was younger is coming true now either way its bad or good. scary!

TOWA TEI Album release Party

So last Friday, I went to Towa Tei release party at Air in daikanyama.
First I went to lounge NEO in Shibuya to meet some people from KIKSTYO.
The first party event was hosted by QUOLOMO. They have some cute tee shrits so check it out!
anyway, right after me and my girl got into the floor one lady and photographer talked to me and asked me
if they can take a snap of us to put on a magazin called "SCawaii" (I think it stands for Super Kawaii).
so if you are in Japan peep the mag that will be in store on 7th of April!
back to the point, I met a dope japanese photographer Yasumasa Yonehara aka Yone-chan!
I hadn't seen him since the end of last year at the party Yasumasa Yonehara × Zippo.
around 2:30 am he asked me to go to Towa Tei party.
I was so lucky.. because I wanted to go to the party and I was just talking about the party the day before!
The party was AWESOME!
Verbal from m-flo, Teriyaki Boyz and Mademoiselle Yuria were Deejaying.
The club was PACKED. VIP was not VIP anymore. lol
shout out to Yone chan! thank you for taking me there!!
I am really happy to see some really cool people who in the scene now.
